Training and Competition Seasons
Bay Area Pole Vault Academy participates in both the indoor and outdoor competition seasons each year.
The Fall training season begins in September to get ready for the indoor competition season. The Indoor season runs from November through February. BAPVA vaulters participate in a variety of meets such as the Texas A&M University, The University of Houston and McNeese State indoor meets.
The Spring training season supplements middle and high school athletes during their school track & field season as well as prepare them for the upcoming Outdoor season. The Outdoor season runs from May through August. During the outdoor season, BAPVA vaulters participate in a variety of meets such as the Texas River Vault, the Port Aransas Beach Vault and USATF's District, Regional and National Qualifiers. To compete in most meets, you must be a registered member of USATF. To register go to the USATF website and select join. Our club number is #1205 and our branch is USATF Gulf Association.
